Hello Everyone! For Week 12’s Technology Resource, I have decided to focus on Diffit. What Is Diffit? Driffit is a resource center designed for teachers. With the understanding and belief that teachers know their students best, Driffit was designed with the pretense of helping students get high-quality learning resources that fit well in their classrooms and lesson plans. This allows teachers to have access to resources quickly and allows them to focus on creating the best learning experiences for their students. Hello Everyone! For Week 11’s Technology Resource, I have decided to focus on Pixton. What Is Pixton? Pixton is a comic creation site where students and teachers can make and share their own comic strips, and was created with the mission to “To enable students to show what they know and express how they feel, through creative and inclusive storytelling.” Key Features of BookCreator Pixton uses comics and graphic art to help build students’ art skills and foster their creativity. Content packs are available for teachers to provide students, which allows them a limited pool to work with. Students can also upload their own images and graphics from their computers or search using keywords and hashtags. Additionally, there is a large searchable library of lesson ideas that can be sorted by grade level, objective and subject. Hello Everyone! For Week 10’s Technology Resource, I have decided to focus on Padlet. What Is Padlet? Padlet is a website and app that allows students to create virtual boards where they can curate information. Boards are able to be shared either through links or through QR codes. Teachers can either create their own materials, use a template or use generative AI (paid usage). Padlet also acts as a great tool for digital learning as well as group assignments. Students are able to pool notes together and have a shared space for information collection/presentations. Hello Everyone! For Week 9’s Technology Resource, I have decided to focus on ClassHook. What Is ClassHook? ClassHook is a video clip curation site. This site allows teachers to search for content from popular TV shows and movies to support instruction. Depending on the plan type, users can browse, save, and assign activities based on video clips. Videos can be filtered through certain criterias such as grade level (kindergarten, elementary school, middle school, high school, and college), topic, genre, vocabulary, use of profanity, standards, and length (all clips are less than 10 minutes).
