Hello Everyone! For Week 12’s Technology Resource, I have decided to focus on Diffit.

What Is Diffit?

Driffit is a resource center designed for teachers. With the understanding and belief that teachers know their students best, Driffit was designed with the pretense of helping students get high-quality learning resources that fit well in their classrooms and lesson plans. This allows teachers to have access to resources quickly and allows them to focus on creating the best learning experiences for their students. Through the collaborative efforts and active commitment to the community it aims to serve, Diffit was created.

Key Features of Diffit

Diffit puts together resources in a quick and timely manner for almost any subject that may be needed. There is a focus on English, Social Studies, Science and Art. By placing a prompt or specific topic, uploading a link to a website or video or creating your own text the AI backend will create a series of resources you can use in your classroom. These resources are availble in printable and digital formats. PDFs, Google Forms, Quizzes, Bubble Maps, Workbooks, Vocabulary Choice Boards, Character Analysis Sheets, and Interactive Slides are all able to be created. While the creation of these resources do save teachers time and provide a starting point for class discussion, they are also all created using AI. This makes the credibility and realiablity for some resources questionable and needing review by the educator to make sure the content is both appropriate and correct.

Pros

Resourcefulness:Generates printable and digital resources for class engagement.

Cons

AI-generated:Resources are AI-generated, meaning the material may not be adequate for class usage and ultimately takes up more time for editing.

Management:No student progress tracking or dashboards.

Not free:Free version is available, but limited compared to the premium version.

Final Thoughts

It is a known fact that I am not a huge fan of AI, however, I do believe that there is potential for it to be used for the ease of teachers in class preparation. However, I do believe that this resource may cause unnecessary time wasting editing material that fails to pass the quality checks that will need to be done.

Hello Everyone! For Week 8’s Technology Resource, I have decided to focus on Copyright and Creativity. What Is C and C? The Creativity and Copyright Project (C and C) is a nonprofit organization developed by the Internet Keep Safe Coalition (iKeepSafe) to help promote online safety. C and C offers curricula for students from K-12. The material created by Cand C aims to provide accessible and practical information about copyright, both protections and limitations, and its role in encouraging creativity. The end goal is to showcase how students can navigate and rely on copyright in their roles as creators rather than focusing on what it prohibits. Hello Everyone! For Week 9’s Technology Resource, I have decided to focus on ClassHook. What Is ClassHook? ClassHook is a video clip curation site. This site allows teachers to search for content from popular TV shows and movies to support instruction. Depending on the plan type, users can browse, save, and assign activities based on video clips. Videos can be filtered through certain criterias such as grade level (kindergarten, elementary school, middle school, high school, and college), topic, genre, vocabulary, use of profanity, standards, and length (all clips are less than 10 minutes).
